Linda Lane is an access point to the San Clemente beach a third of a mile north of the pier. The gently-sloped sandy bottom makes it a safe place for beginners to take lessons and practice paddling for waves. The spot consistently catches swell, best being from the southwest. The quality of the waves, depending on the shifting sandbar, can be very fast, so finding a good peeler to surf may be a challenge. Pack a beach blanket and snacks to make it a fun group outing.

Directions to Linda Lane surf break
From Avenida Del Mar, take N. Calle Seville which turns into Encino Lane straight down to the parking lot for Linda Lane Park. In Google or Apple maps, you can use “Linda Lane Park” to get you to the same location. There’s a minimal fee for parking (use the kiosk to buy a ticket). Walk straight out to the beach from there.
